This philosophical reflection explores the concept of a "world nourished by time," a phrase derived from the works of J. G. Ballard. The author compares this notion to the classical perspective of Sophocles, who saw time as a force that brings hidden things to light and subsequently conceals the manifest. However, Ballard's formulation is presented as more precise, as it avoids suggesting that time is a direct creator of every cosmic moment. Instead, it characterizes time as a vital source of nourishment for the duration and movement of the world. The text delves into the ontological relationship between time and being, distinguishing between genuine events and "pseudo-events"—aggregative, internally non-integrated occurrences driven by inertia. The world is thus viewed as a continuous process filled with relics of past existence. This inquiry invites a deeper understanding of how time constitutes reality and how the movement of life manifests through both meaningful, integrated events and mere inert structures that shape the world's character.

[„Svět vyživovaný časem“]
Našel jsem v jedné knížce kouzelnou větu: „Byl to svět vyživovaný časem.“ (Je to k nalezení in: J. G. Ballard: Mýty blízké budoucnosti. Naklad. Winston Smith, Praha 1994, str. 41.)
