This text explores the philosophical foundations of causality, identifying two primary traditions and focusing on the older one. This tradition views the causal relationship as a form of identity between cause and effect, suggesting that despite apparent changes, no fundamentally new elements emerge. This perspective serves as the basis for the mathematization of nature, aiming to capture movements and changes through formulas that remain constant and exist outside of time and space. The author traces the roots of this concept from mythological ideas of inexorable fate, such as the story of Oedipus, to contemporary scientific principles. Modern examples include chemical equations, where the number of atoms must remain identical on both sides, and laws of energy conservation. This philosophical stance is encapsulated in the classical formula "causa aequat effectum" (the cause equals the effect). Ultimately, the document illustrates how the concept of causality is deeply intertwined with the notion of preservation and identity within the framework of scientific and philosophical thought.

Kauzalita
