The text offers a critical reflection on the current state of philosophy, which the author perceives as a decline into amateurism and eclecticism. A major issue identified is the loss of an authentic authorial voice in academic writing, where texts are often reduced to a mere sequence of citations and references without original thought. The author points out that an excessive reliance on citations has become a metric for quality, even though it does not guarantee a genuine understanding of the sources. Another significant threat is the misuse of rhetoric and poeticization. Instead of objective argumentation, some authors resort to charming or persuading the reader through literary devices. The text warns that the aestheticization and poeticization of philosophical discourse distract from the core of the subject matter. Philosophy should not be judged based on literary merit but rather on the strength and clarity of its arguments, preventing the conflation of philosophical thought with mere stylistic skill or rhetorical prowess.

Filosofie a její ohrožení: rétorika nebo diletantismus
V poslední době žijeme a „tvoříme“ v situaci jakési upadlosti do diletantismu a v lepším případě eklekticismu.
