This text presents a critical analysis of the concept of causality, which is traditionally based on the unproven assumption that every effect is inherently contained within its cause. The author highlights a fundamental logical problem that arises when multiple causes lead to a single effect: what is the cause of the integration of these various partial influences into a unified outcome? Historically, this issue was addressed by shifting the terminology from "causes" to "conditions." However, this shift merely creates a new problem: how to identify which condition should be considered the "main" one, especially when no single condition is sufficient on its own to be a cause. The reflection challenges established understandings of causality and suggests that the distinction between cause and conditions does not resolve the underlying question regarding the origin of an effect's unity. The text invites a deeper examination of the structure of causal relationships and the limitations of our understanding of determinism in reality.

„Příčina“ a „podmínky“
