This text presents a philosophical reflection on the nature of the question and the phenomenon the author terms its 'super-subjectivity.' The fundamental starting point is the distinction between primitive 'inquiringness,' perceived as a sense of unusualness within a specific situation, and true questioning, which is a uniquely human domain. A question is not understood as a mere product of a subjective impulse but as an act containing a claim that refers to what is generally 'usual.' This link to the usual and the habitual is what enables intersubjective intelligibility. True questioning is realized within the environment of language, where a shared context allows the recipient to understand the inquirer without everything needing to be explicitly stated. The super-subjectivity of the question thus lies in the existence of a shared world and tradition that form the necessary background for communication. If the speaker and listener do not share the same level of habituality, understanding fails, which emphasizes that the meaning of a question always transcends the individual consciousness of the speaker and is anchored in a broader social and ontological framework.
