The text explores Hegel's assertion that the familiar is not necessarily known simply because it is familiar. The author examines the nature of myths and the state of being at home in a certain environment, suggesting that habituation often hinders rational inquiry. True knowledge requires a critical distance that allows for comparison and objective evaluation. This distance is not merely an alienation from external circumstances, but primarily a detachment from one's own habits of adaptation. Genuine cognition therefore relies on the critical examination of the conceptual tools and mental frameworks we employ, rather than just the observation of the object itself. By distancing ourselves from our ingrained perspectives, we can overcome the limitations of mere familiarity and achieve a rigorous understanding of reality. The essence of knowledge lies in the ability to reflect on our own cognitive processes, transforming a passive state of being accustomed into an active, critical engagement with the world. This approach challenges the comfort of habitual experience to uncover the underlying nature of our environment.

Poznání a „obeznámenost“
