This text explores the ontological nature of happening and challenges the reduction of events to a mere succession of present moments. The author argues that happening must encompass the realms of both the future and the past, neither of which should be viewed as static. The future (referred to as "coming-to-be" or "budost") is already present within current events as a formative influence, undergoing its own unique form of change. Similarly, the past (the "has-been" or "bylost") is not a definitively fixed entity. It remains subject to the influence of present occurrences, which can cast the past in a new light and reveal meanings that were previously inaccessible. Happening is thus presented as a dynamic process where past, present, and future are interconnected and mutable. This perspective emphasizes the event-like character of reality, suggesting that the "not-yet" and the "no-longer" are active participants in the unfolding of the present, constantly reshaped by the flow of time and new experiences.

Dění událostné
Dění nemůžeme redukovat na sérii aktuálních okamžiků (tzv. jsoucností), protože jakési dění musíme předpokládat i pro sféru budoucnosti, tj. toho, co ještě není; v této sféře žádné aktuální okamžiky nejsou, protože tam není ani žádná přítomnost (leč v tom smyslu, že ono „ještě nejsoucí“ je už nějak „při tom“, když se něco aktuálně děje (stává) a když se tímto aktuálním děním připravuje něco dalšího, co má teprve přijít.
