This text explores the ontological problem of the emergence of an "event" and the inherent paradox of its inception. For an event to initiate its course and integrate its progression into a unified whole, it must perform a proto-act of self-emergence. However, because the event does not yet fully exist at this threshold, this initial act cannot logically be its own. Instead, this proto-act must be received as a gift and subsequently appropriated or "recognized" as the event's own, an attribution that only becomes manifest as the event continues. The author characterizes this process as a "non-act," challenging conventional views on agency and causality. This reflection leads to a broader metaphysical conclusion: if this principle applies to all events, it necessitates a reimagining of the concept of creatio perpetua (continuous creation). Reality is thus understood as a perpetual process of becoming, sustained by foundational acts that precede the event's autonomous existence.
