This reflection critically examines the state of Christian dogmatics and theology, characterizing dogmatics as a clumsy and unreformable imitation of philosophical-scientific theory. The author argues that traditional doctrines concerning God and Christ are absurd when they occupy an independent, exclusive place within faith. There is a call to abolish all notions of cultic sacredness, which is seen as a dying form of religiosity. Theology must function as a way of understanding this world—both human and natural—rather than focusing on ethical reservations or abstract theories of the "true church." A key objective is to bridge the gap between revelation and social existence. Revelation should not be seen as the disclosure of a mystical secret, but rather as a practical instruction for action within a specific situation. In this sense, revelation is rational and pragmatic, and its validity can be demonstrated through trial, success, and its impact on the social world.
