This reflection explores the ontological status of being within the context of time, specifically in relation to the past and the future. The author challenges the tendency to reduce existence solely to the actual present, or what is "here and now." The text examines the contradiction in our common understanding of the past: although we often label it as non-being because it has passed, we cannot deny its former status as being. Furthermore, the past is not merely a collection of material relics that have survived into the present. A similar analysis is applied to the category of the future; while it is currently non-being, we grant it a degree of "future being" through our estimations and assumptions regarding the persistence of present entities. The reflection emphasizes that the boundary between being and non-being is not strictly tied to the present moment but is interconnected with the flow of time and the continuity of existence. Ultimately, the text offers a profound look at how human thought approaches the existence of things across time and their shifting ontological status.

Jsoucí a nejsoucí
