This philosophical reflection explores the ontological status of elapsed time and examines the subtle distinction between the past as related to a living subject and the past of an individual who has already died. The author analyzes the nature of a specific "non-being" within the context of experienced years, identifying three primary perspectives on how time is perceived. The first perspective relates past years to the "actuality" or "actual presence" of a person who is still alive today. The second concerns years lived by an individual who has since passed away, thereby lacking any present actuality of their own. The third level involves a process of abstraction, where time is considered entirely independently of its relationship to any specific subject. The author raises a fundamental question regarding the meaning of discussing specific periods of time in isolation from the conscious being who experienced them. He suggests that such an objectification of time is only possible if we intentionally ignore or suppress the necessity of human experience that originally grounded those years in reality. The reflection thus addresses the tension between subjective experience and the objectified conception of historical time and its inherent (non)existence.
