This text explores the metaphysical problem of the relationship between wholeness and change, challenging the traditional prejudice regarding the immutability of "true reality." Since Plato, philosophical tradition has argued that a perfect being cannot change, as change would imply either a loss of perfection or an inherent lack thereof. The author proposes shifting the focus from "perfection" to the concept of the "whole." Unlike static perfection, a whole must actively maintain and work upon its integrity. This perspective allows for the possibility that a whole can preserve its identity while simultaneously undergoing change. Change does not necessarily diminish wholeness; rather, it must be integrated into it. The reflection highlights the significant role of Christian theology—specifically the doctrines of the Incarnation and the Trinity—in shaping this understanding of unity within diversity. Ultimately, the document suggests a dynamic ontology where integrity is not a fixed state but an active process of integration, allowing for a more nuanced understanding of reality that encompasses both stability and transformation.

Celek a změna
