This text explores the ontological relationship between the concept of an event and the notion of "ought to be." The author posits that everything is fundamentally based on events, which are not instantaneous points but temporal processes occurring between a beginning and an end. At any moment during its progression, an event relates both to its "pastness" (that which has already occurred) and its "futureness" (that which is yet to happen). Within this relationship to its own future, a specific "ought to be" arises, representing the anticipated or normal course of the event under standard circumstances. The document further examines how this trajectory can be altered by external interventions or internal impulses. These changes are not necessarily caused by the environment alone but can emerge from within the event itself. Consequently, the event is viewed as a dynamic unfolding where the future direction is integral to understanding the whole in its current state. This perspective highlights the complexity of temporality, where the "ought to be" serves as a guiding principle for the event's completion amidst potential contingencies.

„má býti“ a událost
