This text examines the concept of equilibrium as a natural state, distinguishing between accidental balance and controlled equilibrium. The author emphasizes that controlled equilibrium is a defining characteristic of organisms and their internal management, with teleology (purposefulness) being a necessary prerequisite for its emergence. Denying teleology leaves the persistent correction of deviations unexplained, as mere chance is insufficient to account for long-term stability. In technology, such systems are replicated through mechanical feedback loops; however, these only mimic organic equilibrium. The text highlights that behind these technological imitations, there is always a human "subject" who acts as an architect, guarantor, and overseer. Ultimately, the document suggests that maintained stability requires an underlying teleological framework or a conscious subject to ensure its functionality and repair. This exploration bridges the gap between biological processes, technical feedback mechanisms, and the philosophical implications of teleology in natural systems.
