This text explores the ontological concept of memory by examining the event as a holistic entity. The author posits that a true being, understood as an event, should not be decomposed into separate phases or isolated moments. Instead, the event must be grasped as a whole that manifests in its entirety at every moment of its existence. This implies that the beginning of an event already contains its end, and at the conclusion, the beginning is still present. Such a perspective necessitates attributing two fundamental characteristics to all events: a form of anticipation for upcoming phases and an ontological memory that retains past occurrences as the event's own history. Consequently, memory is not merely a psychological phenomenon but a constitutive element of all levels of event-based processes, even the most basic ones. The abstract highlights that memory, in this sense, is the capacity of an event to maintain its structural integrity through the mutual presence of its past, present, and future dimensions.
