This text explores the ontological relationship between the individual and life. The author questions the common notion that one possesses their life, suggesting instead that life transcends the individual and, in a sense, possesses us. While a person may perform their being, they can neither establish nor sustain life itself. The subject is fundamentally dependent on the grounding of their being, yet retains the capacity to shape, refine, or lose their subjectivity through their actions and choices. The essay emphasizes the necessity of precise conceptual distinctions to avoid profound philosophical errors. Crucially, the author argues that common language and linguistic conventions provide no reliable support for such inquiries. In this context, the text critiques certain philosophical trends, specifically within the English tradition, for their over-reliance on ordinary language. Ultimately, the reflection calls for a more rigorous and accurate way of thinking about subjectivity as a dynamic process of becoming, situated within non-objective expectations and the essential dependency of being.

Život a ten, ,kdo‘ žije
