This paper examines the definition of meontology as a specific philosophical sub-discipline. The author emphasizes that while meontology focuses on a selected range of themes, it must never become isolated from philosophy as a whole. According to this perspective, every philosophical discipline must remain "full" philosophy, meaning it must preserve a holistic view of the world and human thought. The text focuses on two fundamental prerequisites necessary for grasping this field: first, clarifying the concept and nature of philosophy itself, and second, defining the thematic scope with which meontology is concerned. The aim is to demonstrate that meontology is not merely a technical segment of knowledge, but a profound exploration of non-being or the boundaries of being within the broader metaphysical and ontological discourse.
